Puppies For Sale | Puppy Breeders | Dog Breeders: Keeping dogs and puppies healthy
Its just plain common sence that your dog needs proper nutrition, or a good dog food diet, to remain healthy. Vets and pet food manufacturers many time have opposing ideas on what is an appropriate diet for your dog. Commercial pet food manufacturers are motivated mostly by profits and consequently, commercially prepared foods are commonly marketed as part of a sufficient, or good, diet for your dog. Sometimes your vet or dog breeder may approve of commercially prepared foods as your dog's sole diet. However, there is a very large body of research that tends to prefer a largely natural diet which for dogs is invariably comprised of meat and bones. Raw is preferable to cooked, as some of the minerals are entirely lost in the cooking process.

The most successful puppy house training takes advantage of the built-in canine instinct to not soil its own den. This instinctual trait is used to train the dog when and where to eliminate. This helpful attribute is the fundamental basis that makes crate training work for us in teaching our canine friends that all of the rooms in the house are part of the den. The best place to start expanding this canine instinct is by use of a dog crate. Bear in mind that a crate should not be used except for potty training, evening rest, and for short periods - (Less than 4 hours MAXIMUM during the day) The objective is to make the dog realize that particular areas of the house are "den" areas. Eventually the dog will begin to equate the crate, or the room, as its own den. Since dogs are by nature very clean animals, they try their best to avoid using their dens as bathrooms.

And that is the question! If you are finding yourself with a puppy and you're asking “How big will my puppy get”, you could be doing so for a variety of reasons. Maybe you want to know when your puppy will stop growing because he is so big now! That can be a little disconcerting, to say the least.

There are estimates that, in an average urban veterinary practice, between 20 and 25 percent of the cases involve skin problems. Fleas and flea dermatitis are by far the most common cause of skin problems in dogs. Another common problem is seborrhea, an oily, scaly skin condition, which can be controlled with proper treatment.

I own 3 purebred dogs myself, and I am also involved in some occasional breeding, and therefore this is a subject of grave concern to me. It's possible that it could become an issue for you as well, and this is what has prompted me to prepare this article about Parvo Symptoms in Puppies.

What would you do if you found your dog lying helplessly on the floor after being poisoned, or after chewing on an electrical cord gets shocked? What if he or she is choking? How about the possibility of being struck by an automobile?
